So I got my ATB 12.5 deluxe from my good friend few weeks ago. Before selling it to him I replace the impeller 3 years ago and a 6 months ago when he was cleaning the skimmer, he replace the impeller with a new one then put on a storage. When I got the skimmer back the impeller shaft broke again so i have to replace it with a new one and its making a weird noise sometimes. ATB body still look new and solid after 5 years of service but the ceramic shaft always breaks and has been replace 3 times with the new impeller from the new dealer.
Red dragon pump never had that issues because of the titanium shaft ( although I hate the skimmer body construction on bk 300 and alpha 300 that I had)
Anyway I am worried that this impeller might fail again. So should I considered getting a bubble blaster 10000 instead of the newer air star 2000 dct pump that ATB use for updated 12.5 deluxe ?
