WOW! Those are great pictures. Wondering when I switch from my Vegas to the ATI what bulbs I must go with and at what intensity. I have a mixed reef. My problem is SPS don't color up right and growth is limited. I currently run my Vegas 8" above the water and my tank is 23" deep. Whites max at 20% and blues at 60%.

Tube combo depends on your preferences and are you going with a 4tube or 8tube unit? Do you prefer a bluer (20K+) look or more 10-14K?

I think so. I'm running two blue plus, a purple plus, and an actinic. It's very blue.

Prefer blue look. Will likely go with 4 tube unit. Will that be enough?

Going with 2xBlue+, 1xPurple+ and 1xActinic is fine. Remember you also have around 24watts of White LED's at your disposal per LED cluster.

My light comes in on Thursday!

I got the 8 bulb 24". are th bulbs alternating on that fixture?

Hi guys!

Tomorrow I get my new 8x54+3x75 fixture.
I plan the following:

B+
C+
B+
A+
Led

Thoughts about this combo? Would it be too bluish? It will be on a 120 gal SPS dominated system.

Its a nice combo. IMO you can boost the yellow-orange parts of the spectrum using the White LED's, so overall you should have the complete spectrum.

I have the 60" 8 tube fixture and am closing in on hanging it.

I've had 2 pieces of steel tubing powder coated and they will be mounted to the ceiling. The light will be hung from them, so it will be very sturdy.

I'm looking for a solution to make the light's height adjustable. This could be motor driven like Andrew's or a simple pulley system (I like industrial).

Question: Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

I am finally getting around to putting in my order for a 24" 4 bulb hybrid fixture. It's going on a 36" x 24" x 18" tall, After talkin with the folks at Reefgeek they told me this fixture would be plenty for my tank.. It will be mainly LPS corals with Zoas, and a clam later on. So with that said Got a 4 bulb recommendation? they suggest 2 blue + and 2 coral +, What do you think of that combo? Anyone running that combo, that has the 4 bulb fixture?

I disliked that combo and swapped the coral plus out for a purple plus and an actinic.

Hi dudes!

Got my 8x54 + 3x75 installed and working. The first day with the original program from ATI, central cluster of leds started to blink when reaching 61ºC. Now I'm running them at about 40% and not blinking anymore.

Is that normal? Is it a kind of overheat protection or was just some feature from the original program?
If it is because of the temperature, should I cool down the controlbox or the fixture?

Thanks guys

I just joined this forum to read and learn more about the powdermodule that is being shipped to me right now. I got the 8x54 t5 3x75w led model and only have a 90 gal but plan for an upgrade. Since it will hang of the front and back should I just center it up or hang it so the extra is sticking out the back?

Did you notice if the fans are working for the led cluster that was blinking? It is common during shipping the metal is pushed down on the fan so it won't turn. IMO the lights shouldn't be blinking or over heating. However, it is a safety feature that will save the lights. You would want to cool down the fixture.

As Lubeck stated check the fans to ensure all of them run.

Note that the T5 fans run as soon as either LED's or T5's switch on. The LED fans only switch on when the temp rises further.

If all fans work, then let us know what the ambient room temp is? Do you have the fixture inside a canopy or anything like that?

If the issue remains after you have verified that all the fans work, then I'd contact your vendor for further support.
