ATI Powermodule Hybrid Club

Wow, I read threw this whole thread and what a great one it is and very convincing it is along with the other ATI reviews.
My first question is on a 30 X 30 X 24 am I correct with what I read that a 24" 4 bulb would be just fine with the L.E.D. or should I still go with the 8 bulb? I would most likely be using the L.E.D. for color and shimmer but I'm sure all that would change as I get used to the fixture.
It will be a mixed reef with S.P.S-L.P.S with most likely dominate S.P.S.

With a 30x30 area and having 24" deep to the bottom, I would go for the 8 tube. Most tanks of that size I've seen have at least an 8 tube Sunpower or PM. As good as the PAR is on the 4tube unit, I think you need the 8 tube version to cover the whole 30" front to back.

+1 to this.

No way I see a 4 bulb unit covering 30".

t52 running 2pm-10pm
led are only for moonlights at the moment

Mine do as well. Most LEDs I've seen flicker a little with dimming. If I understand correctly GHL is about the only manufacture using analog type dimming and it fixes the problem.

Hopefully ATI will say something on the matter but mine have from day one.

Why when trying to "save to lamp" do I get an error while writing device message? I can't figure it out.

You've got more LEDs clusters in the software than your light actually has. That is usually the cause and easily fixed.

Make sure your software matches your light. It's easy to mess it all up.

Have had AI Sols and a vertex illumina 260 don't recall either flickering. I've had mine since May last year and think it's very buggy. Downloading and uploading the program can be tricky. I've had a display go bad, a controller replaced and now looks like the display on the new controller is going out.

Where are you keeping the controller?

Mine is out of my stand away from any water or humidity.

Thank you. I got it. All hung and going. Now let the growth begin.

I have had sol blues, and radions and never had this happen.

None of them ever flickered when dimming. Something seems wrong.

Just wanted to share this. Leds on 255/100% and T5's 75%

Nothing to do with moisture, all electronics under my stand. It was replaced to resolve major flickering issues I had. It helped for sure, but the new controller is doing it as well. Just not a bad. Probably normal.

Who did you contact for the warranty?

Maintenance time...
It was nasty, I took whole unit down and vacuumed all dust...
namyhere.jpg

At the same time new bulbs going in, 4 pieces today and other 4 after 2 weeks...
To extend the bulbs life I programmed channel #2 at 100% 6 hours a day for first 80 hours.

I would love to replace all of them but I'm little bit scary to bleach my corals.

Woah thats a lot of dust. I try to vacuum the top of my unit occasionally.

Can you post a few pics of your tank? This thread is pretty much devoid of pics. Thanks.
