ATI Powermodule Hybrid Club

You guys have some amazing tanks, especially with lighting provided by these ATI fixtures!

After reading through the entire topic, I will jump in as well (switching back from all LEDs...). :celeb2:
I just need a little push from you guys. For my new SPS tank measuring 47″ x 22.5″ x 20″, should I go with:

36" 2x75W LED & 8x39W - 34.3" x 20.4" x 2.4" (L x W x H)
48" 3x75W LED & 4x54W - 46.2" x 12.0" x 2.4" (L x W x H)
48" 3x75W LED & 8x54W - 46.2" x 20.4" x 2.4" (L x W x H)
I am leaning towards the 8 bulbs for the different T5 combos.

And could anyone with 36" or 48" fixture provide me with the measurement between those mounts?

Thanks in advanced.
Cheers.

Very nice growth and lovely! Thanks for sharing.

ReefRockerLive, after having the 36" 4T5s units for your 36" x 24" x 18", would you think the 8T5s may be better ? :)

Thanks all. I noticed a slight typo in my last post, I was suppose to write "Almost 3 months, not 2" :)

I have the following combo:
FRONT TO BACK:
ATI Blue+
ATI Coral+
ATI Purple+
ATI Blue+

MikeC120, PM me your email and I can send the program schedule. I don't know how to post a screenshot of my program.

lunner, I am totally satisfied with the 4 bulb unit. The light provides plenty of power for my acros, especially for ones not under the light. 8 bulbs would be too much heat, power, and costly bulb replacement. I'd say the 8 bulb units are more for tanks that are 30" or wider.

+1
I have 36" unit over 40x24x20

For you 80w fixture owners, has anyone recieved the retrofit to prevent the acrylic shield from sagging?

I saw this post from reefgeek over on the ATI Fixture thread, which leads me to believe there's finally a solution:

hey guys. Will try to clear it up a little for you hopefully..

The Powermodule LED hybrid comes with an additional piece bolted to the fixture. It's not a clip, and it isn't offered currently on any other model. Also after looking at the fixture, I am not sure this could be done as a retro to existing fixtures due to the drilling and tapping of the fixture to mount necessary to mount the piece.

I have passed a message along to ATI as well to see if there are any future plans for a clip type for the device.

hey I asked this in the t5 thread but got no reply would the 80w 8bulb 4 led cluster cover a 7ft tank or is 6ft the maximum lenght.

I would really love to have one of these, but I just can't swallow the price tag new. If a 36" ever came up for sale, I don't think I would be able to resist.

ATI questions

I just finished reading the entire thread... I'm impressed. This is a great community with phenomenal support and amazing reef results. Currently I have a Mitras over my 36x32 custom cube. I'm not getting the SPS results I'm accustomed to with MH, yet I don't want to go back to MH's... I'd like to get the ATI hybrid my question is this.. can I get away with a 24" 8 bulb fixture or do I need the 36" 8 bulb? Last question, early in the thread someone mentioned using a Windows Tablet to program the light - does anyone know if this will work? Thanks in advance for the feedback!

Well - I'm joining the club. I went with the 36" 8 bulb fixture. I bought the following bulbs

KZ Superblue x 4
KZ Newgen x 2
KZ Fiji Purple x 2

Can't wait!!!

I've got a 36" x 36" cube with the 24" hybrid 8 bulb fixture and it provides great coverage. I have no regrets going this way. If you're curious about coverage with pics check my build thread.

Fantastic growth m8! Can you do me a favour and PM me your lighting schedule? I'm not sure if you can send me the XML? I'd love t ocompare it with what I have. I'm running a 4 Tube 3x75w LED.

Cheers,
