I have 6 Kessil a360we, thinking about selling them and buying the 60" Led Powermodule 8x80. Should I buy these or just buy the 8x80w regular powermodules and supplement it with 3 360we's. I know the 60" inch version don't dim, so I am thinking I might get the same results just buying the regular powermodules.

Thoughts are greatly appreciated..

I did, but it was just the 4 bulb. Sold it. not enough spread since my tank is 36 inch deep.

Despite the last two comments. Yes there is. When your red and blues are on its impossible for it to not disco unless its a single point source of blended colors.if you do whites and blues you won't see a disco ball effect. But once other colors are in there its impossible to not have one. T5's help but its still there. At the same time I wouldn't go back to kessils alone.

If you take a piece of aluminum and put all of your kessils in a line you can add t5's to it or buy two 4 bulb sunpower fixtures and add them to each side. I honestly wouldn't go back to kessils though .

I'm not the authority and there's no need to be rude. Discoing is the result of two or more colored LEDs on at the same time that are not blended.

I own one myself. I wouldn't say it does unless I've seen it do it

Zack maybe i don't have disco effect cause reds are completely off and corals stay much better.. but once i add another fixture i loose also shimmer..my t5 are powerful

Hello,

our Hybrid is known to have no or nearly no "disco-effect". Especially, in normal use with T5 and LEDs.

Today i raise all led to full power to see some disco effects..with 12 t5 no effect ever.. If i shut off the 4x54 sunpower a little bit of red&blue spot is visible..but with eyes at 1" from front glass.. For me is surely a fixture that generate no disco ball light..
