ATI Powermodule Hybrid Club

A number of things really. Started from alk swing when I added in new sand, then bad bucket of salt.... The bucket had a crack in it when delivered I thought nothing of it so started using it to find out it was all mouldy about half way down basically tank collapsed. Now the rock smells a bit so just trash and start again.

man, i'm really sorry to hear that. Your tank was one of the nicest I've seen.

Preordered mine. Now just biding time until Reefgeek gets it in. I'll post pics of the setup once it's up.

which one did you get Roni????? Looks like my move is going thru so my current tank will come down and be sold. Once in the new house I will begin planning the new tank...96x36x30 and my plan is to use the ATI PM Led fixture on it.

I ordered the biggest one, the 8 x 80 with 4 75 W LED clusters. Are you going with two units over the new tank? Don't want to move the old tank? BTW, driving through your part of the country the upcoming weekend (driving from DC to boston). Any recs on stores/things to see?

You are most welcome.

Here is a better video of just the fans. Not too noisy...

What do you run your LEDs at? I'm at 50% on the B+/ABS setting, fans are dead silent. I did however run the default program for a day and the fan on the LEDs was racing up and down. At the same time I didn't notice 2 of the t5 fans were not spinning because of the ATI logo was pressed against them from shipping.

I am running the default program right now. LEDs at 100% (or 255)

I did change T5 channel two to run for only 1 hour a day until corals acclimate.

This is the brightest light I have ever owned. Brighter than dual 400w radiums with 4XT5's.

It LITES up the tank with all 8 T5's burning and LED's 100%...

Best adjective I can summon is: Scorching

Thanks for posting your videos. I've run T5's as supplements to Halides, but never full T5. I like the color you have - what's your bulb combo?

TIA

Thanks. Downloaded the software but figuring out how to set up is very difficult. Or maybe I am just not very smart and hubby can't figure out either : (

It's not too bad once you get the hang of it. I would just load the default program, (file, load) and play from there.
This is what my program looks like currently.

I am interested in this fixture for my tank, and had a couple of questions though for those with experience. My tank is 84 inches long, so a 60 inch would probably be too short? One end is exposed too, so I want the end lit well. Would I have to get a 3 ft and 4 ft unit? Also I don't have much clearance above the tank, so they would be close to the top of the tank. Thanks for the input.

I would consider 2 x 36" spaced like 3-6" apart. Thats a tough one. They also recommend a min of 8" above the tank. I would contact David@reefgeek and see what he recommends.

Thanks for the advice, I contacted him today. He thinks that the 4 bulb fixtures will be enough since the tank has a 24 inch depth. After talking with him the best combination may be a 48 inch fixture, and a 24 inch fixture (pricing would be better than two 36 inches possibly). I also think that replacing 8 bulbs at a time sounds much better than 16. So when talking about watts, that just means the amount of energy to run the bulb right? So a larger bulb needs more watts to put out the same light as a shorter bulb? I guess the question is that I will have the same colors even though the bulbs have different watts for each fixture?

I am seeking input about bulb combination for a 4 bulb fixture. I have litttle experience with t5 bulbs, and no led experience. I am 95% sure that I am going to order the 48 inch and 24 inch fixtures next week. After talking with David at reefgeek he gave two bulb options: 3 blue + and 1 purple + this will give around a 20k look. Other option is 2 blue + and 2 coral + for 14 - 16 k look. I am leaning towards the second option - 2b+ and 2c+ and then I use the LEDs to make a bluer look if needed, but I am wondering what bulb combination you would go with.
