ATI Powermodule Hybrid Club

I was originally told and thought it was only when the LEDs ramped up or down.

I set a new led schedule that stepped up rather than ramp and they still flicker/blink.

During the day the whole bank of lights will shut off then the reds will turn on all by themselves. The reds turn of and the lights go back to normal. It happens a few times an hour.

I'm not confident there is a fix and ati North America told me every unit they have has this issue.

Since I know people are getting these in and not having the same exp. I don't know what to do.

Wait for a fix or return the lights and buy a pacsun fixture. Anyone know any other hybrids?

Sounds to me like you need a total reset on the fixture and your software. I originally had flickering problems with my LEDs and thought something was wrong. ATI North America didn't know what was going on so I sent in a video.

After spending some time on the phone with Greg and doing a total reset, I've never had the problem since.

A few pages back I posted a sequence in which to push the buttons on your control box to reset the number of LED spots on your controller. I'd start there and factory reset the light. Then totally uninstall all your software on your computer and start over. Only use the software found on ATI North America! Don't try to find some newer version out there.

Once you've reinstalled the software, go ahead and plug your light into your computer. Load the DEFAULT program from your light to the software. Do NOT use an already created program that you made. Adjust the default program to your liking and save it to the lamp.

See if that works.

Done. fingers crossed.

I did the reset.

Uninstalled the software, downloaded from ATI NA site and reinstalled.

I edited the default2-1 I assumed this would be the one for a single led bank.

thanks again for the help.

I recommend not using the default in the program. Instead, hook your light up to your computer and click lamp. Then click load from lamp. This will load in the default program from your control box that we just reset.

Then edit that program. Save it tonyoie computer and save it to the lamp.

And what if it is the T5 bulbs that flicker? Should I try the same?

What brand and did you burn them in properly? Have you used other bulbs as well to determine that it is for sure the fixture?

How are you ramping up the bulbs? What percentage increase and all that?

They are eight ATI bulbs previously used in a 10x54 dimmable Powermodule. No need to burn as they has been on several months.

I posted the graph on this thread two weeks ago.

I'd get rid of all those points on the graph. You only need 4 of them for everything to work. I'm not saying that is the issue but might be worth a shot.

You can also try everything I posted earlier and just make sure everything is in proper working order.

One of the biggest issues I have seen with these lights is that it is REALLY easy to screw them up in the first 10 seconds of opening them up and turning them on.

A quick update on my Hybrid. I have had it since Sept 2013 and the corals have adapted well with no problems.

Latest pics as of today...

I have my 75w x 3 and 54w x 8 since December 2013 and everything goes fine, except some flickering from the LED where I am getting used to.

However, I have a problem today that I spent hours already but still can't fix it.
The problem is: I was editing my lighting schedule through the software (1.2.0.2) in my notebook computer and suddenly the software hanged a bit. I have redone everything and then I send the updated schedule to the lamp as usual. However, the controller pop up the message as attached and since then, both of my T5 channels do not function except I was running the 'day preview' function on the software. The led is all along running normally.

What is happening and how can I solve it? I tried to send and load from the lamps, reset from the controller to default and send the schedule but all in vain...

Please help!!!! Thanks!!!

Hi rtparty
I am exactly doing what you mentioned before by resetting the control
Now I am in default and it seems running normally now
But I am still reinstalling the software as my notebook is so slow
Hope I can do the amendment from the 'default programme' which can solve the device locked and flickering problem in nor time!!!

Thanks in advance

By the way, is the word 'device locked' shown in you guys' control when it is working in progress?
Actually I did not notice that before...

Did you go through the button sequence and reset the number of LED spots on your controller?

Mine always says device locked if it is hooked to the computer with the software running. I have never seen it say that once I removed it from my computer.

I think it's safe to say that my lights are fixed.

Thanks for the help. Ati was anything but helpful. Their attitude almost made me send the lights back.

So what intensity are you guys running the LEDs and what color combo?
