ATI Powermodule Hybrid Club

You would wait because of cost (comparing two 24" to one 48", I know I'm going to spend a lot more in the long run)? Or another consideration?

I have a 55 gal FOWLR with crappy LEDs but the 40B currently has no lighting (it's being setup now and we want it to be a mixed reef), so I need to buy something decent now. My only other thought was radions, but I like the hybrid Powermodules much better.

No you would need to buy a 60" fixture if you wanted one. I just think one solidodel looks nicer. Two 24" could handle it if you spread them out enough

Hi Sahin,

What would you recommend for a tank with dimensions 60x27.5x27.5 of SPS at all levels?

I'd really like dimming, but I understand that the 80w T5s don't dim on 110v.

A 48" fixture will cover your tank without a single issue I would go with the 8 bulb if your just doing sps but you can get away with the 4 bulb without issues

Thanks. Yeah, I was planning on the 8x54, just wanted to make sure about the depth.

Any word out there about upgrades to the Powermodule any time soon? Is this a good time to buy, or are they going to change it with the Sirius? Anyone know?

I haven't heard anything but this is pretty new still. Only a couple of years old. I think the focus is going to be on their led fixture though

Question for 4-bulb fixture users...What is the recommended strategy for selecting T-5 bulbs vs coloration of LEDs being run in the fixture? Do you shoot for the overall color blend you want in the tank when selecting your T-5s? Or should the T5s shift one way and then be balanced out by the LEDs? I am getting ready to order this fixture and I would like to have a nice shimmer in the water during the day when all bulbs are on. And, I don't expect to run this fixture at 100% - at least not for awhile.

Also, I am moving from an ATI T5 only tank so I am thinking that I will start out with more T5 than LED in my mix and then gradually shift the opposite way - more LED than T5.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Any comments on bulb combos and T5 vs LED balance? Thanks!

I'd suggest at least waiting until MACNA starts (8/29) to see if they introduce any changes or new fixtures.

I just received mine. it's a 4 bulb unit 60" long. I have a 175 bow tank so the 8 bulb would not fit. I went with 3 blue and 1 purple bulb as suggested on this forum. The light looks great so far.

How are you running your LEDs when on with the T5s?

Sorry if this has been explained previously but is there a way to add additional points in the graph.

Thank you

Go to settings in the top left. Underneath GRID you will see spacing intensity and spacing time. Over to the right of those there are up and down arrows. Change those both to 5.
