Also my controller will not control my lights manually as well. I tried a factory rest and I confirm by hitting yes and all settings stay the same.

Rev, good to see you on this forum.

It sounds like either you are not plugging in the USB lead into the controller properly-please align the pins properly and fully insert into the female connector on controller.

Or the USB lead or the connection on the controller is damaged.

Do you have a USB lead with this little black box?

That USB lead is specific to this controller.

FWIW I plugged in my ATI USB cable without connecting it to the lamp; and just like you described, the USB indicator in the software lights up but the indicator for the lamp obviously doesnt.

You can try to ensure you have the latest software from the ATI USA website. Dont download from anywhere else.

If all this fails, I think you need to contact ATI USA.

With respect to setting up the controller manually; it is a difficult process, and so far I think only 1 person in the UK managed to set it up that way. So it might be that the controller is fine and but it takes some fiddling to get used to it.

Why does my BMW have secret menu options to change settings in its computer?

Its there for diagnostics/maybe to finetune performance/change characteristics for future upgrades etc.

Peoples Samsung phones have secret options to run it faster etc etc...its there, but for the most part, settings have already been set for optimum performance.

Hi buddies, I'm already owns a hybrid of Ati. I hope to learn and contribute all you can in this post.

I would be interested to know which is your settings on your screens, in my case is a 8x54w + 3 LED modules

Send me a PM with your tube T5 combo and which type of corals you have and I will create a custom light profile (provide email address in PM, dont post). You can then amend it to your liking.

Thanks... but I do not seek a configuration for my aquarium, I would look here in the post different combinations with colleagues on their screens and if you put a picture of the aquarium looks like it would be perfect ...

I run tube 1,3, 6 and 8 for around 9 hours and 2,4 5 and 7 for 5 hours. My nutrients are fairly low now.

I actually re-wired my LED Powermodule. :eek2:

ATI set it with channel 1 having 1,2,7 and 8 and channel 2 as 3, 4, 5 and 6.

I re-wired to distribute channel 1 and channel 2 tubes are split more evenly. Love it now. :)
 
Got my LED/hybrid PM today....but the power cord is missing (the AC from my home into the ballast)!!!!!

Can I pick up one from Radio Shack? Any particular specs on a cord like that?

1) couple more questions...no English user manual??!!!!
2) Can I hook it up to my MAC?

I don't know about the cord but no manual (there is a nice written tutorial and video in this thread) and no, there is no MAC support right now but I heard it's coming soon.
