Atlantis Red Hyacinthus

I purchased a very small frag from Atlantis several (4 maybe?) years ago. I dont see it on their web site anymore but they do list a red Hyacinthus with blue tips. This guy has blue tips as well so it may be the same piece. I think I paid $110 for it. Has been hardy for me but hasn't colored up to its full potential. I have adressed some contamination issues in the plumbing to my deionization system and can see daily improvements in color and growth . Does anyone else have this coral?

What do you mean by contamination? Amazing corals btw.

I replaced a section of plumbing that i believe was leaching something into my deionized water sytem that would rapidly deplete and overwelm it. I would see some improvement in coral health with water changes performed imediately after a resin/carbon/filter change but never consitantly better. I could never measure anything but since i have replumbed the corals health color and growth rate has improved daily. Understand they were "living" before. But they were not vibrant and taking over the tank as they should do. Now they are.

i also had the original from atl. it was exactly like yours. never got the deep red with bright blue. lost it in alk swing last year. paid $100 for it.
