automatic water change

I think my method will be just as simple and effective. Float switch comes with seal.

Ok- so i received the float switch mentioned above. This will go into my fresh saltwater bin. If the bin goes dry, it will shut off AWC pump (Stenner).

Question is; as i reviwed the instructions for break out box and float switches it mentions having to choose a state of either closed or open to turn pump on or off. It also mentions having to be careful with overloading "switch". So... How should it mount is to bin, open or closed? And them programming recommendations please. No OSC Dr. Thompson please. I dont get it. Simple if this on then that off etc.....:wavehand:

Oh- and how do i even know if its on or off?

12 pages deep, FMAS does it again.

My pumps don't come in till the 31st. I'll be too drunk to work on them.

I just made sure that I got as much unstretched tube as possible between the rollers.

It's not THAT big of a difference between our tubing, a56 for mine compared to a61 i believe for yours. Then again I'm not sure how much softer 1 shore rating is compared to the other

but I can say that mine has no problem starting and running itself for awhile with a 1A power supply on it.

Anybody locally planning to order replacement tubing? Let me know, I'm slacking on it since my build hit a few road bumps.

rps3;

Where are you located?
I have some of the black neoprene tubing left over from my order and I MAY be ordering the clear silicone if I can't get it to work with the black.

I'm off until 1/2, but have to take my son to therapy from 10-3 everyday except New Years.

PM me and we'll make arrangements to come by over the weekend or something.

Bueller....Bueller.....Dr. Thompson,..... Dr. Thompson????? :o

I personally mount switches so that they are closed when ok. You want items to shut down on an open that way in case something happens with the wiring, breakout box becomes unplugged, it will alert you

Post in the Neptune forum and I'm sure you'll get an answer.

Marvin- I could, but then i have to explain the whole shenanigans of the AWC. I know the kind Dr Thompson knows what to do since he is dealing with it himself.

I just posted on Neptune about a delay with skimmer when return pump turns off to avoid skimmer overflow.

I would almost bet you wouldn't as much as you think. In fact I know I've seen similar post before in their forum.
