automatic water change

Listen to the Señor, he is correct. Spend the money and you'll get everything needed in the box.

Eddie, you got an extra set of tubes and two of those weighted strainers?

Sometimes shortcuts are good, but consider this another part of life support for your system, that and a back saver. LOL

Rps3- no strainers but do have extra tubing.

Fallback OFF
Set OFF
OSC 000:00/010:00/050:00 Then ON
If Outlet AWC_Override = ON Then ON
If LowNSW CLOSED Then OFF

and then I have a virtual outlet called AWC_Override which stays off unless I want to turn the system on. It's a safer bet then just turning the outlet itself on manually, as at least this way if I run out of saltwater it still stops

just remember that no matter how you do it, safeties and switches must always be at the end of the program

automatic water change

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1395057539.221036.jpgso me and Eric spent all night trying to figure out how to get my stenner to pull and push the same amount of water. We changed tubes tried different lines and adjusted rollers. No luck. After about 15 min this is the difference in the water level ( top of tape is where we started) any ideas?

I guess you'll need to add a valve or drip emitters to get it stable. This is a bit disconcerting. Whats your plan for next step?

Oh that sounds like fun, spending all night with Eric. :headwally:

I plan to call lock well and have them send me a replacement roller. Eric and I have a sneaking suspicion it might be one of the rollers as weswitched tubes and tried different RO lines. CalmSeaQuest where do I get this and can it be finely adjusted. I'm not way off just enough to matter

I'm think now with you guys ideas that maybe this might help. Either way I want to get it as close as possible with out any pinch valve ImageUploadedByTapatalk1395062127.102908.jpg

WOW!! Double wammee:deadhorse1:

Dealing with Eric and finding this out, ouch!!!!! Ide try to get Stenner to Buch up. How much of a volume difference is that??

I didnt test mine out, but am sure my ATO would be going nuts if it wasnt even, and its been close to 4 months now for me, and longer for Dr. Thompson ( but he DID test it).

LOL, :deadhorse1:

We did everything possible to eliminate the problems but every single time it would overfill the line we created. What we concluded and I strongly believe was the roller on one set was the problem.

I have o bust mine out and check now. At lease with the eBay ons it was adjustable by pulling the tube tighter, Stenners are set in place.

Yeah... well be hearing from you in a year or so...:headwally:

If you spent less time on line and more time on the built it would be done already.

Yeah Eddie, do a formal test. Mark your sump level and run it for 15-30 mins. Don't forget to shut off the ATO, drain about an inch so that overflow you have inside the sump tank doesn't dump.

I'm so tired. LOL.

@ Chris155hp did you uninstall and re-install the tubing? on the cole-parmer L/S heads it makes a huge difference how the tubing is installed. By hand it is off by as much as 10% on mine, but using a tool (either screwdriver or their fancy tool) it gets things within 3% or better per the spec on the pump heads.

To get any better than that the needle valves would be your best bet and they are way cheaper at US Plastics. I use them for skimmer air intake adjustments and they work great. I was going to use the needle valves but just moved the faster head to pump SW into my sump to make up for skimmer removal as I'm only off by about 120ml per gallon and I remove at least, if not more than that each week from the skimmer.

1. What Stenner model? I know the 100 Series, since thats dual head, but then for the 100DMP pumps, there are 5 models. http://www.lockewell.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_6_30_33

100DMP4 is great for automated water change systems. Remember, the gpd rating is both heads combined (ie: 70gpd = 35gpd per head)

2. Stenner tube type - 1/4 white? 1/4 UV black? One of the others?

1/4 uv black

3. Where did you get your pump from?
lockewell usually has be best prices. You could also try ebay and uswatersystems.com
