How come all of the close up pictures of the clams and corals have no color? They all look fossilized. Sure the out of water pictures have lots of colors but up close they are so white looking.
Are those acropria (sp?) or something? So where's the color? Just curious I am baffled why the clams and SPS look like coral skeletons.
Ninty percent of the Acros in the Indo pacific are brown.
Ninty eight percent are brown in the Carribean.
Perhaps we should praise the collectors for searching long and far to find the limited number of colorful morphs and sending them to America.
This is another example of how its silly to think this hobby will ever effect the health of the reefs. Ninty percent of wild corals are of no use to the trade because they are brown.
To think that they have out lawed wild acro collection in the Marshals seems quite silly now isnt it?.
Is it possible to have a reef central post that includes a picture of an attractive girl without 2 pages of 'Hehe boy I'd like to swim with that mermaid'? I don't care at all, I think its funny, it just seems like any post with any woman 14-60, everyone has to comment, makes the it look like no one into reefkeepin ever gets any action. just to prove a point I'm going to find the most heinous 250 lbs. acne covered she-beast, and have her pose in front of my tank, I bet atleast three people will make some 'I want to get with that mermaid' comment. Something that might be possible if they pay for a Shoney's dinner-bar for her.
