Back after 2 1/2 Year Hiatus - New 225 on the way

Thanks mike660r & ReeferMonkey.

The tank has been up for 4 weeks and it is going really well. I have 21 fish at this point and all are doing well. I added a few frags this weekend, including an ORA Blue/Greeen Tort, orange cap and a Green Slimer. I had a little bout of cyno but that is going away. Hopefully, that will be the worst of the algae outbreak I was expecting for this new tank.

Here are some updated shots. I couldn't get any decent pics of the frags so my apologies for not having any at this point.

OMG absolutley beautiful,Ive got butterflies in my stomach!!! Your tanks looks great,I hope this hasn,t been asked but what size bulk-heads do you have on each overflow and what size return plumbing are you using? Are you worried about the Tunzes sturring up the sand alot??

Very nice build. How about an overview shot of the room? The colors are very similar to what I'm doing and am currious how everything looks now that there is water and rock in there with some light.

How thick is the tanks glass?? I Quess you do not need overly thick glass because its euro-braced,im guessing 3/4 inch.

Thanks again everybody.

jwccwj- The drains are 1 1/2 inch and the returns are 1 inch. As for the Tunzes, I have them positioned in a way that they are not blowing sand. They did at first but things have now settled in. The glass is 1/2 inch all around and 3/4 inch for the bottom.

Not worried about the leopards jumping?
ReeferMonkey- I had one for many years and he did not jump, although that was an in wall tank with euro-bracing. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope they stay happy :D

Very nice leopards
ones Atlantic, and the other is African?
Zoos- I know the reddish one is an African but I'm not sure about the other one.

Love the tank, can't wait to see what you get next. I'm kinda surprised you went anthias for first fish. :P The leopard wrasses are awesome. Keep us posted.

Cheers

Ok...here are some updated shots, including pictures of a wide shot of the room, actinics only on as well as some shots of an ORA blue/green Tort and orange monty cap.

Beautiful reefbum it really suits that room, awsome job.So now thats its been up a while is there anything you would do differently? How satisfied are you with the sfilgoli and have you considered the ACLS dimming units.

Thanks for the pics...

Very classy!!!! Have you ever thought about using the pegging technique? If I could do it all over again, that would be one aspect that I would change.

Thanks jwccwj. The tank has been up 5 weeks and there really isn't much I would do differently. It would be nice to have a ceiling fan in that room to keep the pressure off of my chiller in the summer. The installation would have been much easier before I set the tank up but I think I will eventually do it. The Sfilgoli is working out great so far but the ACLS is a bit too pricey for my taste.
