Update:
Maroon pair laid their 12th clutch of eggs Saturday. I will have more live phyto this time. Also have re-read Joyce wilkerson book again, the part about ph levels and ammonia. She does water changes in her larvae tanks, starting at day 3. Will see if I can do better this time !

Well last night I checked up on the eggs. It appears that something is eating them. There is only about 2/3 of them left. My guess is my peppermint shrimps. The male doesn't seem to be as attentive this time around. He may be getting fatigued. He doesn't eat that much while watching eggs.

I found this posted by someone a while ago on Reef Central and copied it. You can use is as a guide.
"use A for a week or two, B1 for about 3 weeks overlapping with A at the start and B2 towards the end. B2 for about another month or two and C1 until I sell them at 4-5 months"

Update:
12th clutch of eggs hatched out last night. Even though half the eggs were missing I still extracted about 100 little ones. I like when they hatch over the weekend, I can watch them more ! I have noticed this group doesn't seem so light sensitive. I have a overhead light and they are swimming around way more then previous hatches. Water is only slightly tinted with greenwater.

Batch 12 update:
OK ammonia is back again ! I'm thinking it's the phyto. I will be using switching back to instant algae in the larvae tank. Day 1 there was no ammonia. Day 2 it was off the safe mark. Day 3 it was toxic. All I did was feed the tank rotifers the morning after the hatch with just enough phyto to tint the water green. Day 2 added more phyto to tint the water green again, with no rotifers were added. Day 3 is had to do a 50% water change. Adding Prime and T.iso instant algae. Fry seemed to handle the change well. SG is 1.021with PH still too high at 8.0.
