Balling method using GroTech Products

Hello everyone.
I would like a bit of information regarding GroTech products for balling method.

I am dosing KH, Ca ang Mg using GroTech products and I add trace elements of the same brand by hand once per week.
However I could not find any official information regarding balling method by GroTech.
The only that I managed to find is the following reference
http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/topic/62286-grotech-dosing-computer/

On the other hand Fauna Marine has very detailed information on how to use its products.

I would like your experience on how you use GroTech products, in what combinations, routine, etc.
Do you have in mind any official reference by GroTech?

The Grotech Balling Way

You need 3 bottles and each contain 5 litres of DI/RO water.
Bottle No. 1
Add:
1. 715g GroTech Calcium Pro Instant
2. 100ml GroTech Corall A*
3. 100ml GroTech Corall B

Bottle No.2

Add:
1. 840g GroTech Carbonate Pro Instant
2. 100ml GroTech Corall C

Bottle No.3

Add:
1. 550g GroTech Magnesium Pro Instant
2. 200ml GroTech VitAmino M*

COPIED FROM THAT LINK

tbh i dont understand those weights at all

840g bicarb
737.5 g calcium chloride dehydrate

is balanced theoretically

then if you were to use tropic marin pro reef its 250g

but these are 10 litres not 5

i do not know how you get 840g of bicarb into 5 litres (well you dont), and if its sodium carbonate the weight is miles out to calcium chloride.

That weight of magnesium is also baffling me as its over double that required as a balanced mgso4/cl .

perhaps i am missing something, i always thought grotech was clsssic balling, where as lite is fauna marin, and i use tm so i am not overly familiar with grotech, though i have used lite

I am a bit confused as well, that's why I want others' opinion and experience on using these products.

Anyone using these products?

I haven't used them, but we probably can answer any chemistry questions about them. Personally, I just used a two-part. They seem fine to me, and are a lot easier to mix up than those solutions. We can research what's in each of those products, I guess, and work from there.

Personally, I'd skip the vitamins and the trace elements. There's no data to show that they are helpful.

Hi all, I am using grotech calcium pro instant with dosing pump and mixing the granules with Ro/Di water. I am dissolving 60g of grotech in 2L of water. After it settles, a white mud-like layer forms on the bottom of dosing container. Is this normal for this product?

I suspect you're seeing a bit of impurities settling. That's reasonably common, although the amount hopefully is small in comparison to the total volume of dry supplement.
