I'm considering adding a stripped or dragon face pipe fish to my 50 gallon bare bottom, but will it be fine with the lack of sand? Since it's a bare bottom, it does have quite a bit of flow, will that be a problem?
Flow probably won't be a problem, but I'd worry about the lack of microfauna a sand bed supports. Its possible the live rock will have enough, but I personally wouldn't chance it.
