I'm down at Port Aransas, and stuff is washing up on shore with barnacles on it. Goose barnacles, I think. I've found a small floating piece of clean wood (no paint or anything) with six-eight little barnacles on it. If I chuck it back in, it'll probably just be washed back up to dry out... Do you think they would survive in a 29g? I'm not feeding anything for corals, but I don't have any filter feeders aside from maybe a few tiny tubeworms. The tank's been up for a few years and currently houses a little damselfish, a pistol shrimp, and a Wheeler's shrimpgoby. It's going to have a colony of sargassum shrimp once I get them QTed, too.
Do you think the barnacles can survive in my tank? If so, how many do you think the tank could support? Barnacles amuse me with their grab-grab-grabbing at the water, and they're kind of pretty.
