i got a 4-5 inch teardrop maxima today i want him on the ground should i allow him to attach to bottom glass? or place a flat rock under him?? tank is 24inch deep 70 gallon oceanic, lighting is 400w 14k ushio and 2- 36 w p.c. actintic. i dont want him to be up in my rocks that is for the SPS thanks for tips guys/girls

it is preference, but I would put it on a piece of rubble, so you could move if you wanted, with minimal stress.

put him on a old dead plate coral i had in the garage. when i moved him onto it he had one thread that had just barely attached to bottom glass when i picked him up he closed shut quickly and came right off the glass hope no harm was done. his has positioned himself on the dead coral and is fully open again all looks normal i scrubbed him with a tooth brush too he has some orange sponge and some barnicles on him as well as macro algae my hermit were cleaning the shell last night

i cropped them to get the most clam / inch :)

no problem :) it sure does look like your star has found something tasty, my crabs will swarm a new clam to clean his shell.

i love that squamie, nice color.

when you get a top down of the maxima email it to me and i'll add it to the thread.

Looking good man! I gotta check your tanks out some time, you need to see my 400g system running now too, it sweet, only a couple of corals right now but its ready so I will be collecting for a while. This time around I am keeping the tanks how they are, NO more changes... I have like tank ADD, I couldent make up my mind lol.
