Bean's 300 Gallon AGE Build

I have used that stuff in the past and I do use it professionally in structured cableing application (trade name "œfinger grove") and it looks nice however it's a real PITA for servicibility and the little fingers are prone to breaking which sucks.

This time I used a cable tray setup. It doesn't look as nice but it's 1000X beter for serviceability.

Those are cool. I dont plan on spending anymore time on this. Eventually Ill have a tall cabinet for that side. Ill make a false back and hide the wires behind it.

I keep the cable trays inside my main cabinet open (uncovered) so I can easily remove items like pumps and skimmers without removing all the covers. I did cover all the controller wires inside my control cabinet since I very rarely need to remove any of that wiring.

Thanks! I appreciate the offer. Only if @solitude127 comes over and does it for me.

I have been eye balling your corals... lookin good!

Oh, hahaha.

Thanks, hopefully I can maintain the stability of my tank so my corals and fish don't act up on me. LOL

I guess time will tell. I don't plan on adding any light or livestock for another month to 6 weeks. Gives me time to QT the first fish I plan to get and let the bacteria to become well established in the display. I'll probably do a large water change when I near the end of that period. I'm starting with 3 small yellow tangs for natural algae control. Tang tooth brush. This rock was already previously cycled then dried out, so I'm hoping it doesn't blow up like I've seen. Its the nicest looking rock in my opinion so its worth the risk.

Yeah i have the same rock in my tank so i know how it behave. I also transfer my old live rock from my old tank so its 50/50 how ever when the new tank go through cycle algae will be there. With your patient dont put coral in let the algae come and use up all the nutrient in your rock then u can black out your tank to get rid of the algae.

Thanks Anthony.

Your Pukani rock scape is nice looking. Did you happen to acid wash the rock? I used Pukani rock too. I didn't acid wash but cycled outside for a long time. My p04 kind of sucks in my tank, either too many fish or Pukani holds too much detritus. No algae issues however. I'm going to attempt to slowly switch to a Tonga branch set up over the next 9 months.

No I didnt. Whats your phosphate level? My last tank ran about .08 to .1 with no GFO and I didnt have algae issues.
