Beautiful Mag coming

I just saw this nem posted on aquasd and could not resist. Here it is...

I know the mouth is slightly open but could not resist the chance with those beautiful colors. Any tips on how to prepare for this beautiful specimen welcomed. My first go at a Mag and want to make it a successful one. Thanks

the base is purple with those bright green tips. besides a gaping mouth and deflated tips what would be some other warning signs to look for?

It's the daily (usually afternoon) deflation cycle. DEFINATELY have cipro and a hospital tank ready, looks to me like it will be required.

Mags like to be high in the tank close to the light with a alternating or pulsing flow. It is best to create a pedestal for him away from the glass so it won't wander.

FWIW, be prepared for your anemone to be be brown with yellow tips when you actually get it. The color balance on that picture is way off.

I saw it in person yesterday. It looked great when I saw it!

And actually it was those colors. That being said, Will keeps alot of blue light above the nem tanks.

OK Could not resist? That mean you DID get it?

When will it be in?

What do you have now?

Can we get some parameters??

Lights: type and cycle
water parameters
tank inhabitants
age of tank
type of power heads (foam covers?)
dosing

yes I did get it, it will be arriving on wednesday. Tank is 72x30x24 lit by 4 ai sols and t5 supplementation, flow provided by 2 mp60s with foam covers. Parameters are up to par with "normal" ranges the tank is a year and a half old and i dose b-ionic 2 part and magnesium.

I just saw that picture on another forum where they post updates and went looking for it on their web site and couldn't find it. Now I know why. Let us see pictures when it arrives.

Under 6-10K lighting, probably. But most reefers nowadays use higher K lighting. I've been to his shop many times... his pics are always true to what you see in person.

Spoke to them yesterday and seems that the pick was taken as lights were coming in. They have had the nem since Tuesday and mentioned that it is doing great and is approximately 8-9 inches across when fully expanded.. I will post pics and update as I get it. Thanks

Well spoke to aquasd today about the nem and they mentioned it is doing much better this week. Mouth has closed up and is inflated much more has attached to there floating basket and they mentioned it is feeling very sticky... will be shipping out today for delivery tomorrow morning. here's a cell phone pic they were nice enough to send me this morning.

By the way i thought the base was purple looks to be a pink base interesting combo...

Very nicely packaged even included a small bag with carbon in the nems bag to help with water quality in transport...

This nem is VERY sticky could not get it out of the bag was so sticky...beautiful green tips with just flash

And the best part is that its mouth is very nicely closed...off to a nice start

Here it is perched on top of its shelf...

and this was after i turned the mp60s back on

Has not deflated once since being introduced and mouth has remained tightly shut..by no means are we out of the woods yet but definitely off to a good start. Aquasd really sent a "healthy" specimen and it really has acclimated nicely into the aquarium life so far.
