beer thread

I was fortunate enough to have the IPA on tap when I was in San Francisco.

When you going to start homebrewing, Cully? That's clearly the next logical step for you...

It would seem that way, wouldn't it? I broached the subject and the sword of Damocles nearly dropped. I was quickly reminded of my other expensive, time consuming hobbies, AND children. I went to my wife's purse and pulled my testes from the pocket in which she keeps them. I tucked them between my legs like a scolded dog, then returned them to their storage spot.

I've had Otter Creek summer over the past few weeks. Definitely my favorite of the summer flavors that I've tried. I also tried their organic and was really impressed with that.

I saw Torpedo at the store the other day and thought about giving it try. I'll have to give it a go next time.

Simple, but quit enjoying it out of some freezer born frosted mugs. Very nice!

Sierra Nevada Beer Camp 12 Pack

GO BUY ONE!!!! 4 different flavors Double IPA, California ale, A Weiss beer, and a black ale or something. My father in law and brother in law split one up the other night and my wife is bringing the last one on the shelf home, as we speak.

I was looking at that today and wondered how it was. Good to know it's a tasty one.

got the invite to help kick by brother inlaws's keg. Leinenkugal's summer shandy was on tap. very easy to drink sissy beer. it almost tastes like lemonade. not going to give up my ipa's, but on a hot summer day it goes easy. even the non beer drinkers seemed to enjoy them. much better choice than bud lime IMO

Torpedo was excellent. I tried shipyard summer ale tonight. Not a big fan. I'll be sticking with the Otter Creek for a while.

i know its a beer thread but can you home brew somthing like smirnoff or mikes hard lemonade?

LOL, it you can handle the chemistry of a reef tank, I'm positive that you can make a mixed drink ;)

Darn you guys! I read so much about the torpedo's on here I got some myself... Now I am addicted! These things are great!
you're so right.

Going back to when I first started this thread:
LaBatt's Blue was my beer of choice. Sam Adams was a tastier (albeit slightly pricier) second choice.

From some recent gatherings I have leftover Miller Light, Coors Light, Corona Light and some Blue. This stuff is swill!

Am I turning into a beer snob?

I recently had occasion to have several ice cold cans of Miller lite. There is something to be said for the simplicity and cost when quantity is the issue. Alas, after this brief interlude with the "ugly chick", I ran back to my beloved Torpedo.

agreed

agreed

"ugly chicks" are meant to be shared.

I save the Torpedos for myself and a few others that might appreciate it.
Each bottle is like a small treasure :)
