Nice tank, is that starboard? Do you clean it to keep it that white or was it just new in that photo? (I imagine cleaning it would be a real PITA) I really like the look of starboard but I can't stand coralline growing on it... hah

This is white acrylic. I have to clean every 10 days. This tank doesn´t exist anymore

best regards

Today I think the best is 3x blue , 2x purple and 1x white

Denadai, why do you now think above is a better combo? Ie only one white tube? What made you change y9our mind? Have you seen better result with higher red spectrum? Thanks in advance my friend. :)

Denadai,

Have you used Actinic tubes at all?.
The pop they bring out is amazing!.
I'm slowly getting hooked on them!.

I would imagine that this looks great. I saw a KZ new gen on a friends tank. That is an extremely bright bulb. I wonder how it would compare in par to a ge 65k???

I have a KZ NewGen, it looks VERY SIMILAR to the Giesemann Lagoon Blue. I also have the GE 65K and the GE is brighter and of course more yellow in appearance. As to PAR, I'd estimate it to be lower than the GE 65K. To measure the PAR I would have to rig up my single T5 ballast and measure each tube individually in the night...just dont have time for it at moment.

As usual, a wealth of knowledge
