Beta of new Apex firmware now available!

Would really be "nice to have" the tiles disabled while in the UI edit mode.

This was discovered during testing and has been noted for a future release. For now, just be aware and be careful of where you drag the tiles.

It would be nice to include username and password fields for the cam tile to avoid the secondary log in prompt.

This was also noted during testing but doesn't seem to happen with all cameras. I believe that with D-Link you get the authentication dialog box but with my Foscam I didn't. You can right click in the web cam tile, select 'open in another tab' and authenticate that way. Then just go back to the dashboard and refresh the screen.

Neptune will be accumulating a list of Beta issues and you can expect to see them resolved in future releases.

Also, some cameras let you pass your authentication credentials as part of the video URL string. Do some searching on the web for your particular model to see if this applies to your camera.

Can't seem to get mine to work? Is it becasue I have it hardwired threw my wireless router? Do I need to try to hardwire directly from PC to Apex?

You can't communicate with it connected directly to your PC.

You're not using a wireless bridge, are you?

A big thank you to the couple of people who posted the list to the camera streams. I have an Axis 214 and spent about 45 minutes last night googling how to find the stream and didn't have any luck. And now this morning jump back to this thread, click a link and now I have my web cam working.

I also agree with a poster that having the On/Off button light up or colored to show its state of on/off would be a great little tweek to the tiles.

I upgraded to the new firmware. Looks nice and the ability to move the tiles is very good. For guys with IP cameras the new firmware gives additional bell and whistle. For the rest of us, I'm not so sure.
I expected some changes in the outlet programming but maybe I expected too much.

What version of Mac OS are you running? Try running the flash utility as super user.

Which IP camera/Brand is the easiest to configure/use with the APEX?

By the way, Love the new firmware.

Now that we can see the switch state, is it possible to change the name of the switch? Or should I just still do that with a VO.
