Thank you. I wanna say "rescued" from a LFS have had her for about eight months now she's doing good

As you can see she's has a lover that keeps her clean

Beautiful specimen, however your long term success with this creature will greatly improve if you provide a proper enviornment for it. Your anemone is Stichodactyla haddoni, which is a sand dwelling anemone. The simplest way to provide a proper environment is to add a relatively deep sandbed. If a sandbed is not to your liking, others on this forum have reported success by filling a capped section of PVC or tubberware container with sand and placing the anemone in it, thus creating a micro-environment fulfilling the anemone's needs. The artificial home for the anemone can then be covered with pieces of live rock concealing the container.

OP, while I agree about the sandbed, you're obviously doing a great job already, as it's been there 8 months and looks amazing! Can I ask how the base is situated currently? I would not have expected it to be happy without sand and would like to know more. :)

If the anemone is happy and not roaming- it doesn`t need sand. Obviously it is ideal for the species, but I learned a long time ago not to tell someone who is doing something successfully that it can`t be done. Great looking anemone!

Big Red looks beautiful and very healthy. Congrats on your success. With 8 months of success under your belt I would be interested in hearing what your maintenance routine is?
