Big skimmers for big systems

I would definately get one from Spazz and just swallow the shipping cost. The efficiency of his design is incredible. It's the only air injected skimmer I have ever seen. There is a new model he is experimenting with that once it gets into the final design phases will completely revolutionize the skimmer industry. I know this is strong wording but it is pretty cool stuff. I just hope the new design pans out.

wow that is disheartening, i don't even have my dream skimmer and already it is obsolete :(

You're missing the boat if you don't commision a custom needle wheel by GEO.

Look at the past TOTM skimmer - I think 3 months ago - someone will post a pic of it here....

Have you considered multiple smaller skimmers?

here you go

from what i heard, if you don't buy a pre built geo from a place like anythingphishy it would take a very long time for him to build a custom one.

Dang, I bet I am going to beat Euro-reef to posting photo's of their own new RC1000. Do any of you know anyone that has received a new RC1000 with 5 Eheim pumps yet?

Just to let you all know I managed to purchase a Sander copy for £700 THis baby is 7 foot tall with a 20 Inch tube. Run by a .75 HP pump for the venturi and feed by a sequence 10k.

holy freaking electric bill batman!!!!!! i think 1hp is like 749 watts or something. hope it skims like crazy.

i think for bubble size, sheer skimming ability, cost, and electric useage its hard to beat a spazz skimmer.

I agree 110%

ya the dart should run just over 100 watts I belive and the air pump is 80 so a total of 175-180 watts and your running that monster that can handle 2000g plus.

Just did quick search for a skimmer for 2000 volume system .

bubble king is a 650 is about 116 watts(2x58) but costs 6k+
deltec 1004 is 312 watts and $7000
mrc9 450 watts $1100 plus pump $1450
rc1000 200 watts $2500 and its only for 1k volume
AquaC EV-2000 max is 2000g prob 1k 3.4 amps iwaki 100 $800 plus pump $1150
ETSS 1800 also 3.4 amps iwaki 100 $1400 plus pump $1750

So there are option ..pay not or later Thats why I went with the needle wheel dart.
