ya the dart should run just over 100 watts I belive and the air pump is 80 so a total of 175-180 watts and your running that monster that can handle 2000g plus.
Just did quick search for a skimmer for 2000 volume system .
bubble king is a 650 is about 116 watts(2x58) but costs 6k+
deltec 1004 is 312 watts and $7000
mrc9 450 watts $1100 plus pump $1450
rc1000 200 watts $2500 and its only for 1k volume
AquaC EV-2000 max is 2000g prob 1k 3.4 amps iwaki 100 $800 plus pump $1150
ETSS 1800 also 3.4 amps iwaki 100 $1400 plus pump $1750
So there are option ..pay not or later Thats why I went with the needle wheel dart.

Actually the Dart will probably be pulling more like 160 watts, which is still a very small amount of electricity for the caliber of that skimmer.

i believe it will pull less because of the needlewheel size.im pretty sure i seen Spazz post somewhere that they pull around 110-130 watts. 160w. is the Max. rating for a dart not the average correct?

I have been watching this thread as I am in the process of setting up a new 280 in-wall in a new home and I am in the market for a new skimmer also...so the skimmers built by Spazz are ETSS?

I will be finished setting up the skimmer this week and will post the #'s. BTW the alita air pump injects air into the dart which increases the cfm as well as lowers the draw.
