I am struggling to remove the false bottom in the first chamber of the biocube 16. Anyone have any experience in doing so?

Thanks,

Tyler

really old thread but I was looking for the answer... here are some photos for others that end up searching.

The red arrows point to a shelf that the plate sits on (no calk attached it).
I pushed it down far enough to flex it past one of the lips and it fell down to the bottom. I broke one of the slits by pushing hard with the screw driver. You could probably pull it up but the slits for the carbon filters are in the way.

FYI the cobolt 75watt heater should fit in there without pushing out the false floor but i decided to remove the floor so I could clean out the first compartment during water changes
