man, some great shots posted lately. Espcially like the owl and woodpecker IN the trees!
 
What lens are you taking your bird photos with, Misled?

Sigma 70-300 OS. I traded my nikon 70-200 for it at my local camera shop. I still want the 300 f4, but right now that's not in the cards. Probubly next year though.

I took my new 70-300 4.5 VR and almost new D90 (upgrade from D40) out in the boat on the St. Johns River here in central Fl and got this shot today.

It was hunting frogs.
Notice it's legs are the same color as the lily pad stems.

I remember you from the photo shoot, I thought the mach two media looked familiar, whats up. Great heritage flight shot. I have a few with the A-10 in them, they are always my favorite... Did you get the wood pecker in Palos? I looked all over for that darn thing with no luck... Jeff
 
first goslings of the season. seems kinda early as we did have frost a couple of days in a row last week.
