Birds

Thanks guys. Yeah, it's cool how nice that background turned out, most manmade things clash in wildlife photography but I really like that shot.

I'll play! Mine suck compared to yours though!

The green parrot in the first post...I have his blue brothers at home. I have a couple of blue morph Indian Ring-neck Parakeets, one for me, one for the wife. They're fantastic pets.

Mine, Skittle, at 6 weeks old. He was still spoon feeding

Here he is at 6 months

My wife's bird, Snickers, taking a bath. He's the same blue morph

It's the only one in this area that looks like that. All the others have black beaks and feet. My wife was trying to find one on the interweb that looked like it, but never saw one.

That eagle looks really funny. I think he needs some moose!!!!!

Nothing too amazing, it was pretty dark out taking these pictures but we wanted to go for a walk so I figured I'd bring the camera along even though it was dark.

what the heck? Where are all those ducks Grant? University lake probably. Crazy colors on the males. Love how that one female stands out in the pack.

Jesse, digging that last one. Was he posed like that or did you just capture the perfect moment?

I'm not sure of the name of the lake, I just know it's off Spenard, we were walking and there are some boardwalks, we walked along and saw the ducks before, so I went back with the camera tonight :)

The pics in this thread are amazing! I'm going to share a link to this thread on a bird board I belong to.

My idea of photographing nature is taking pics of birds in cages. Here are my Gouldian finches.
