Blue Gig / possible acquisition

Here's some updated pics i just took, he looks pretty good and hasn't moved. When should I feed him?

And here's some pics of the rest of the crew!

This last pic is of my red carpet, ever since the green one moved into his territory he hasn't really been able to fully extend, not sure what to do about it. I put a piece of PVC to keep the green one from draping on top of him but its still shading him a lot. Any suggestions?

Change the power head flow. See if you can convince one to move quicker. Short of pulling the smaller one and moving it your self.

I would try to move one or the other of the anemone. Being shaded will weaken the Red Haddoni for sure. In the mean time, feed him more.

What would be the best way to manually move the red haddoni? None of them seem to want to move on their own. His foot is dug in deep in the sand.

I've actually had good results with a silicone spatula. This is the exact one I used:

It's gentler than using a credit card, but strong enough to be able to get under the foot. As a side benefit, it works pretty good on Saturday mornings flipping pancakes (I rinse it before using it around the kitchen, of course!).

You may be able to get underneath the nem with the spatula without even having to dig out the gravel. Just go really slow. Good luck!

Cool, I will give it a shot. Going to need to do this again down the road anyways, I just ordered my new tank and it will be tailored mostly for the nems. 72x36x24 I'll start a build thread soon

Not sure if this helps but when my Gig found its way onto my large Sqausmosa clam , It almost seemed like an impossible task to remove the foot due to all the ridges and crevices ........my daughter took a look and came back with an pen like thingy with an angled eraser at the end , worked like a charm. It was a cuticle remover tool that cost less than $5 .

Here's an update pic on my blue gig. He decided to move from the rock i brought him in on...

As far as the red haddoni goes, I decided to move the rock the green carpet was up against to see if he would move and sure enough he did...red carpet now is not shaded anymore and has opened up a lot more now so this is good news.

Mine is the same size except it is 36 inches high. 72X36X36

That's a high tank, would need some long arms to reach for something in it! I cant wait to get mine up and running, still being put together...

Here is a couple of pics of my haddonis. Over last few days my purple haddoni has decided to join in on the fun and they all have been fighting for the same spot it seems. These pics are over a few days, i finally intervened and put a divider in there as it seems the red haddoni is being bullied and he is always the one that gets mostly shaded and he decided to shrink up totally.

Notice how the purple one went behind the green one:

Now you get to do something for the purple one.

he's going to have to move....hopefully he does again and goes back to where he was, he was doing just great in his first spot so don't know why he decided to walk. The truth is i need to get them into a bigger tank and this cannot happen soon enough...I will be needing everyone's expert advice when the time comes to do that and how would i go about transferring them but to early for that now...My plan is to drain this tank and move it and then fill it back up again with same water so i can have it running in another spot while i work on th new one which will be in the spot my current one is in.
