Bought new led light fixture from China.

Gillguy. I have a friend that wants to get the Malibu s200. 36 inch LEDs. However the tank is 48 inches and 21 deep. The reason for the 36 vs 48 is budget. The lights will be hung about 6 to 12 inches above the water. Do you think it will cover the whole tank? If so what optics do you recommend? Thanks again.
If he places them at six inches hell probably need to go with 120 optics if he puts them at 12 inches he can use 60 degree.

sounds great i look forword to joining the group that has this light in a few weeks thanks
last couple of questions is there any changes you would make to the colors you choose it looks good (added pic below of color pattern)
and how long did it take from them to get you order and have it at your door

I would not change a thing. If I did I would remove the red leds and make them blue. It took less than a week from the time I placed the order to the time they arrived at my home.

i also fear your color setup will be to blue for me acouding to you video on youtube i like a hint of blue at mid-day
like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDpyHmfYjwM
but it could be the camera lighting makes it look so blue or not so blue whichever it is
maybe if you can add a pic and have the blues and whites at even level of intensity and tell me if the pic is more or less blue or white then what the camera makes it looks

The reason that it looks blue is because of the camera but also I do have the two channels with blues higher than the whites. Believe me, with this setup if you put everything at 100% it's a white color about 12000k. The setup I have is more of a 16000k look, that's what I prefer. This layout will give you plenty of choices in spectrum.

Both will work fine it's just a matter of preference. #1 will give you full spectrum and #2 will give you 17000-18000k look at 100%.

I have a 72g bow, 48x13 side, 18 center x 21 deep. Will the S300 fit on top of my tank side to side. I already have a aqutic life 6x54 and it is 1 inch too wide on the side to fit.

Thanks

Gullguy, where do I order one or how do I order one?

Thanks

Google ledzeal and email on of the names that pop up on the left. I dealt with Kevin as well as most people here have I believe. Usually answers your email within a day. I'm not sure if I can post a link which is why I'm telling to search google.

Bought new led light fixture from China.

I see that DIY mode of the controller Malibu has only 8 steps, but reading the manual it have a mode 1 that has increments per hour. Its true? It force the channel color layout, i'snt it? Thanks

Just purchased my S300 led

Just purchased my S300 led

Hi Guys

I've been watching this thread for a while now and done my homework and decided to go ahead and purchase the S300 for my 5ft reef setup.

I've gone for Gillguy's layout BUT with a tweak. According to Kevin- he has stated that he could have 14k variant of the bulbs installed - if not then the standard 12k. RED & Greens are to be on 120 optics.

Was going to purchase this early January until i was informed about the Chinese New Year holiday - so had to wait until this Monday to make my purchase. Kevin has been brilliant. All my emails were answered quickly and he had to put up with loads of questions etc. Would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to purchase any of their units.

Looking forward to my unit.

Cheers
Chris

with

Hi troylong45,

I went with Gillguy's layout ( see attached) BUT requested if they could do 14k whites instead of the 12k standard version. Kevin said it was possible.

This is the layout I went with BUT instead of the 12k white - Kevin said he could do a 14k variant.... Thought I'd give it a go.

Cheers
