Bought new led light fixture from China.

Gillguy, this is what I was thinking for the two S120's I would need for my 120 (4'x2'x2'). maybe with 90 degree optics except for the green and red those would be 120.

btw i would like to grow sps in the future.

Gillguy I just sent keven a email telling him he needs to put you on his payroll as a US Representative Sales Manager for led zeal.

Gillguy was a lot of help when it came to my layout and he has helped so many here. thanks for the support gillguy.

Yes that new layout will work. The standard is way too white. They need to change that. You should be able to grow sps just fine.

You are welcomed. Twister, just helping people succeed and survive in this expensive hobby we love.

Great Gillguy, thanks. Did you agree with the 90 angle on the lenses?

If the lights will be under 10 inches from water line yes and 120 on red and green. If above 10 inches then you can use 60 optics for better penetration since your tank is 24 tall.

I was pretty well set on the 120 watt maxspect razor when I happened on this thread. Seriously eyeballing the 24" S-150 instead and have sent a e-mail to Kevin to get an idea on cost.
I'm still back around page 24 but this is what I feel I will need . Tank is a shallow cubish 24x24x12 and can be suspended to any height but most likely 12-14 above the waterline so 90deg optics on all but the red and green(120deg). I'll be stealling Gillguy's color layout from back around page 4 unless you have found something better. It also looks like I will need an extension on the power supply but dont know about the controller(not using wireless). One other thing I picked up was the need for additional insurance.

With those dimensions you are on the right track. Especially if you can get it up 14 inches then 90 optics will cover the entire tank. No need for the wireless in my opinion. Don't know much about insurance never got a quote. I'll tell that I've had my lights now for over a year and everything is working great.

Thanks, Gillguy.
I just checked my e-mail and have a response from Kevin, he is suggesting the s-120 instead of the 150 based mainly on the shallow depth.
I tend to agree but wanted the extra wattage if needed. I can always keep it turned down if needed. I also feel the 120 is probably a little better fit for the 24x24 surface. I still need to take a much closer look at the 120 as all my research has been soley focused on the 150 up to this point.

Hi guys,...I'm looking at the Malibu lights and need some input. My tank is deep,(42") so most likely 60 optics,... I like being able to layout the led's you want, the controller and the ability to daisy chain them. Any advice/thoughts in their use on a deep tank, and who are you going through for purchasing them? Thanks,---Rick

You go through Kevin on ledzeal.com . I don't know if anyone has tried them on deep dimension yet. But they should be fine.

Was changing the pics, the center large LED is surrounded by 6 moonlight blues that come on for the moonlight programed period. Gonna hang this over the tank today.
