How do you like it with the red leds ? Are they over powering the other colors when turned up ? I ordered mine with no reds i had a photon48 which was great but the reds gave me a pink hue i did not like and could only turn the whites up 20% "the reds were on the white channel" or it got too pink for my liking . ive always been curious how reds would have looked in my s400 since it has a more blue to 4500k white ratio then my photonLEDZeal's UV LED's operate between 410-430nm. This is an important part of the spectrum which corals utilise - however, you don't want to go as low as 390 as this will cause damage. (see below spectrum graph)

You can see from the above, wavelengths between 400nm to 470nm are likely to be very useful for corals. A word of caution however, our tanks (at least none of those I have ever seen) have 5m+ depths, so it's worth reading the whole article to get the full picture.
I was unsure whether to add more UV to replace the Green and Red LED's on my unit, so Kevin shipped some replacement UV LED's for me if I decided to swap them out.
I received my unit on Friday and had a few plays. It is very impressive, solid and well built and very bright. The fans are a little noisy on the light itself and come on depending on light output across the 4 channels.
I would make sure that you are clear how you want to control the unit before you order. There has been a little confusion on my S200 where I wanted to use the android app, but also ordered a Smart Wifi Controller.
The two light models are different. An App-controlled version cannot be controlled by a controller and vise vera.
(I'm just trying to see if there is a solution I can work out with Kevin now as I really wanted the app over the controller).
Hope this helps?
Cheers
Rob
Thanks Rob,
Would two s300's be overkill for a 240 long 8x24x25 ? Or should I just stick with two s200's

Hey Rob,...thanks for the info! I emailed Kevin for info on the Malibu lights,...he suggested the 200's.
My problem is I will need to mount them in my hood also,...how did you go about attaching them in your hood?(pic if you could please) I see they have a rail system,...so it looks like you could slide them, if you wanted to adjust their location a bit,...what about their power connection on top of the fixture...I have 1" standoffs in my hood that will allow for air flow but is 1" enough room for the power connection? Thanks in advance,---Rick
The metal plugs stick out 1 1/2" so you will need at least 2 I would think because you will have wire to bend after that.
Thanks for the info ordered me some 630 reds after reading your post pre tined them right now going to install them tomorrow see how it looksYou're welcome - hope my very limited knowledge is useful!
GillGuy or one of the other members with larger tanks is probably best to answer that question. I went for an S200 as I'm mounting inside the hood, and I wouldn't get the required clearances for cooling and the ports on the ends of an S300.
The S300's are just short of 4ft (1200mm) so you might be better off with 200's, but I'd ask Kevin/Alex @ LEDZeal and the guys on this thread.
Make sure if you want the Android App, order the S Plus. (it's not on the LEDZeal website)
I've got 120 degree lenses on mine (for dispersal of the red and green and as the light is 5-10cm from the water surface. So haven't noticed any pink hues yet. (The tank is currently empty with a white bottom, so should be obvious). Feedback from others who have them is that they make some of the fish really pop, where reds and yellows would be muted by blue.
If you have a scroll through and find GillGuy's layout, the red and green are sandwiched between Royal Blue and Blue's, I'm running this channel at 35-40% with no issue and a VERY blue light, which is controllable. As I said earlier, I have replacement UV's which I can swap these out for if needed.
Tried to take a few photos/video's last night, but not really getting any sort of decent colour rendition I'll try again with something other than a camera phone if you like.
The white's are all 12000K, so ramping these up gives a cleaner, whiter hue if that's the look you want, without any pink from the reds.
Cheers
Rob
