Bowfront Leaking Track Record

I have a 72 gallon AGA bowfront. It's about 8 months old now. No leaks so far. But now I'm scared to leave my house. Maybe I could put a web cam on it and check the web frequently to make sure it's okay while I'm out and about :)

Okay so I have my tank in my family room in the basement and after filling up with water I realized that it is not quite level. I think it has to do with my basement and the fact that my house is 100 years old and not quite level itself. So, should I worry about this and move the tank or leave it be?

Thanks,

Debra

My 72 gallon bowfront sprung a leak after 3 1/2 years at the bottom of the tank. Make sure your tank is level, mine was an 1/4" off and I think in caused my tank to leak.

My 72 Oceanic (Purchased back in 2003) began leaking in less than a year. With the warranty still intact I upgraded to a 135. I will never have a bowfront again!

LOL... I posted in this thread almost four years ago. My 72 gal bowfront reef is now almost six years old and haven't had a single problem.

had my 72 gall bow aga for about 4 years and have not had no problems with any leaks but i herd about the 155 bows leaking

Wow I posted in this thread way back. :) My 155g bow is still going strong. No problems, 6 years old.

My friend's front panel on his 155g blew off though... Might have been a problem with the stand getting soggy and expanding he thought. That incident really got me scared, but so far nothing has happened to mine. *knock on wood*

175 coming up on 2 years old with mp40s blasting at it from the back!

I had a 100G range bow front. I had to sign a waiver of indemnity from that super reef store in PA. sprung a leak within a few weeks. Trash man taketh. Been out of the hobby for two years. Next build will be on a granite slab. Still have the useless $500
stand
