Bring out your rares!!! for the BAR swap

Brian, perhaps the cap may qualify. Can you tell us a bit of the lineage on that piece? Also, a closer pic if available, would help. Try and show the nodling and purple to green (edge to main body) contrast. I can also just look at it on swap day if you prefer.
For all the "Leng Sy" caps (if such a thing still exists), the answer will be the same. if it's super high noduling with an ultra bright purple rim it will be considered rare. These were the 2 remarkable characteristics of the original morph and if you've got a green cap with all those attributes, it's a pretty rare piece.

I'm going to say no on Tubs blue zoos (though not other blue zoos necessarily) due to their high level of local distribution in the last 3-4 years. I'm going to say yes on AOG in part due to their desirability. Please bring at least 2 AOG polyps per frag, pre-mounted. Neither of the sps are rare in this area.
Thx-Jim

Agreed!

Cali tort (what Mike has) is not rare.-Jim

Agreed. Despite being a slow grower, the Cali Tort has become widespread in the hobby. Especially with the ORA Tort being the same thing.

Can we get a better pic of the sunset?
No on the birdsnest.-Jim

I'd like to say yes on the Ponape Birdsnest, but Gresh and Rich may side with Jim on this one:)

Yes! Especially in cases where, your piece may not be large enough to show nodules, the lineage would be required. When I last spoke with Mr. Sy, he mentioned that Paletta has the True Leng Sy Cap. If you're willing to post the trace by name, everyone between you and him, you're golden;)

On the Leng Sy etc:

Here's LS by way of Leng Sy, Paletta, Sand Dollar, Mr. Ugly
This one has the characteristic white/bluish polyps

Here's a non LS, but it has more purple and more noduling. Greenish polyps though.

I Got My Frag From Paul Rodman who Got it from Ming @atlantis
I know it is hard to tell but there are small Nodules starting to form
Karl you Take on my Ponape Toarch and Birdsnet
would you any of these Qualify:
Atlantis Pink Polyp Cap
True Superman Dante (from Paul Rodman)
True Sunset (from Clint Conway)
Tubs Horidia(sp?)(from Paul Rodman)
Mike Paletta Turquoise Lovelli(from Clint Conway)

Don't know the lineage of any of these, because well I don't really care :) Did get a couple from the BACFM so they might be infamous. All pictures were whitebalanced with the camera, and if you need/want a picture under non-tank bulbs (ie regular softwhite CF just ask)

Blue/Purple millepora (10kK bulbs)

Here's a closeup of the above tips if that matters any

Unsure what this is, my non rare cali to the left, slimer to the right, Norman's crushed velvet in the background, and the unknown nuclear monster in the center

Light blue digitata, not any where as intense blue as the German blue, but the base of this is also much lighter

The fragable lps of my group

That's a prostrata, which will have more slender elongated branches. Millepora branches, are short and stumpy;)

Brian, I'd say the cap lineage is sufficient. IF there was any of the original strain left, my understanding is that Palletta had it. That's where Ming Wei got his.-Jim

Mike, could we get a more colorful pic of the LPS? I'm not saying Pshop it, but there must be some color in them there lords!
