Bryopsis vs Fluconazole

Does the treatment get to the roots in the sandbed? I'm having issues with either GHA or Bryopsis in the sandbed.

How's the tank looking?

Much better, bryopsis wise. I added Vibrant to work on bubble algae and my mushrooms aren't excited, so I'm going to do a 15G WC but keep the fluconazole in for another week or so.

can't confirm, but many report long term success.

I dosed my 60g cube with this last night. We'll see how it looks in a couple of days when I get back from a short trip.

Jordan, my bubble algae is going away on its own. Nothing dosed just stability through WC and cheato reactor Alk, Ca and Mg

Anyone have any extra fluconazole close to Oceanside? Or anyone willing to ship?

It worked great for me, BUT, after almost 2 months with no Bryopsis it came back in force during the heat wave... Literally specifically and only during this heat, it popped up in like 3 days -_-

Yeah I notice when my tank gets to warm that's when I have algae issues. Since I've added my fans and a temp Controller, it's been rock solid between 79-80 and no major breakout

Starting to see sign of bryopsis coming back. Guess this is a temporary fix as opposed to a permanent fix. Bummer

I will say after trying a different brand of fluconazole with RAPIDLY different results (Everything dead and gone in like 5 days, opposed to 21 days....) that the brand matters. And perhaps other brands may work better.

But mine did spring back up specifically during that last heat wave.

What brand do you find to work
Better?

You need to do another dose of fluconazole. My bryopsis came back after only one dose. I treated a second time a few months ago and haven't seen any since.
