Bubble King & "Mini" Bubble King Skimmers Coming Soon - New Lower Pricing!

Actually, after sleeping on it all night... I decided to cancel the BK. There was some things my wife wanted to get for the new baby on the way. I thought the money would be better spent on my kids.
Someday I'll get one. ;)

Klaus, do you have height and base footprint spec for the BK SM? I just want to check if it will fit in my sump. Also, will this skimmer be using the DC motor pump? If not when will it be available?

@Xinumaster...
the development of Bubble Kings Supermarines are not finnished....the DC-Red Dragons2 are to powerfull for SM-skimmers.
The hight is 50 cm total and 1 cm for the Cup.... = 51 cm..... = 20 inch (?)

regards.. Klaus

Hi Klaus,

Thanks for your reply. 20inches seems to be short. Will there be different sizes of supermarines for different tank size application?

Klaus is the mini bubble king plug and play or you have to fiddle with it to find the right performance? Where do you adjust the water level in the skimmer? The mini looks like a beast!! Any way you can show some pics comparing the size of all three mini's? Any more movies of the larger ones in action?

Scott

50cm/2.54= 19.68"I agree, 24" is about minimum for me, but with the ATI/Fauna-Marin/BKsupermarine design you place the bubble plate about 4" lower in the chamber than a regular BK... so its close to a 24" tall BK. Still, I say make em 24" tall and add just add the height... could help get the RD2 on them...lol. OR, if you spin the bubble chamber like ATI does, you can actually have 'bleed holes' around the parimeter, as the centrifugal force of the spinning forces the air inwards, and the water outwards. So you can get more air and water into the plate, but bleed the water out the edges of the skimmer for even less turbulence.

Dear Scott..
good idea.. next week i make a photoshooting of the three Mini BK-modells...:D
The Minis are plug and play-skimemrs, very easy for found the right performance. Only drill the edgepipe for lift the waterlevel in the skimmerbody....
movies from the Mini-BK in action, next week, we building a extra-showtank for the BK´s

@Xinumaster...
the BK-Supermarines are Prototypes.... not really at the moment for serial-production. Ready is the Modell 250 internal and this skimmer have 2200 Liter airintake, 4000 Liter/h waterflow.. and 40 Watt energyconsuption with Red Dragon-Bigblock.. ( European voltage 230 V/50 Hz) For tanks from 1000 - 3000 Liters/ 260 - 800 gallons... Baseplate is 28 x 28 cm /11 x 11 ". Next step are the BK-SM 200 and 300... end of this year.

Klaus looking forward to the pics and video. Will there be a little line on the BK mini for the correct water level in the skimmer?

I just wanted to post an update on the eta of these. We are schedule for these to arrive a week from tomorrow or Friday at the very latest. We were hoping they would be in Monday, but customs did not clear them fast enough.

Thanks!

Awesome, I was about to ask when the first shipment would be in. Im getting tired of my piece of crap tunze 9010 that will not pull out a darn thing.

Are you going to get enough in to cover all of the preorders on them?

We have not sold out of any of the Mini's yet, although I think we're getting close on one model. We have sold out of a one of the DeLuxe models so far, but I'm not sure exactly which one it was off the top of my head.

Which mini's are you close on selling out?

Can anyone speak to the water level neccesary in the sump for the best performance for the Mini 160. Just want to see if I will need to make any adjustments.

The 160 has been pretty popular so far. We still have a few of them left though.

As long as you are running about 5" of water you should be fine, however my guess is that optimal running level is going to be that 6" - 8" level, but you could even go higher if you needed to.

Jeremy how much will shipping be on the mini's normally?

Standard UPS Ground on the Mini's should only run around $10 - $15 just depending on where in the US they are shipping.

Dear Naga...

sorry,...in US-voltage, at the moment, not comming stronger RD-Pumps, as 12.000 Liters/h.
When it give a market in US we can custommade by Askoll a big Motorblock with flowrate 16.000 Liters in 110Volt/60 Hz.
We talked with US-distributors next time.
The waterlevel for Mini BK is from 10-30 cm. Best level is 20-25 cm....
