BubbleKing RedDragon pump issue

Hi Jeremy, I just picked up a new impeller (old impeller needle wheel shaft snapped off) for my Red Dragon 2000 pump in use with my internal BK 300. The pump worked fine for ~6 months but now the impeller is not spinning. I removed the impeller and cleaned it after reassembling the impeller it still does not spin it only vibrates when I move the impeller? Any advise?

Hi Simon,

It sounds like the impeller is bound up somehow. Can you turn the impeller head with your fingers?

Yes it does turn with my fingers. With the motor on it shivers.

Did you disassemble the entire impeller assembly by any chance before trying it?

I removed the impeller with the covering,the covering is perminately installed with the impeller, from the pump and cleaned it.

Jeremy, Thanks for the info from Proline and Albert. He is truely a professional and this has been a great experience. Even though these skimmer are expensive but the services, warrenty and turn-around is OUTSTANDING!! I am loving my BK300 even more and know this was the right choice. Thanks much
