C. meredithi questions

Beautiful tank SDguy!!! What size tank did you say that was?

Thanks. The reef is a 150 (48L x 24W x 30H) while the peninsula style FOWLRASM is 110 (48L x 18W x 30H).

Wow! Beautifully done! And man I have no clue how you work so fast on the tank. It's Magic! hehe.

I have little reef gnomes that only come out at night to help :D

I did a water change last night and cleaned the glass, so hopefully I can get some better pics of the meredithi tonight!

Ugh, I'm so good with this camera on my reef, but the T5's on this FO tank are not working for me...

Here's the best I could do tonight:

meh, i need to come over soon to look at those fish again lol ... Btw reef is looking spectacular .... especially compared to how my move went lol

I just got my fourth juvenile the other day- TINY. Maybe an inch and a half. Still in total juvie colors. I hope my existing females dont object.

Right now it QT, but I hve alarge "social acclimitization" container that all fish go in, before releasing. It has saved lives. For example, my clarion doesnt care about ANY fish, except regal angels. He will not let one in his tank. That has saved two regals lives, for sure.

Acclimitainers: Every fish geek should own one.

They are invaluable!!

Well, a quartet wasnt in the cards. I added the tiny jivenile, and watched very closely for aggression to it. None from anyone. So, I was very pleased. But, I stupidly wasnt watching the other fish as well. Late last night, I noticed the two existing females were going at it hard and heavy (not in a college humor sort of way), after nearly 6 months of peaceful coexistance. I was able to seperate out the weaker of the two, but this morning, she had passed. I guess a trio is all I have in the cards. And now they are Poppa Bear (L), Momma bear (M), mand baby bear (S) sized. The tiny one is very very interetsed in staying with the other two, while they, in general, care only about eating.

Really sorry to hear that :(

Well, so far so good. The angel is doing well. Eating well. I have noticed he eats quite a bit of algae off the tank bottom/overflow. Almost centropyge-ish. Is the normal?

 Lucky for me his favorite seems to be pellets. I guess I can try leaving nori in the tank while I'm at work for him to munch on as well...

True true. All three of mine would kill their mother (if they knew her) for pellets, and murder the nori I put in. The love gelatinized foods, too. But the loose meaty stuff is so so.

Update: :D The original is doing well. I added a second, which was kept in an acclimation box for a while. They stopped even noticing each other after some time, but once the box was removed, ouch. The first day was rough, but now they tolerate each other very well...
