C. meredithi questions

Interesting that the smaller new one has a very broad, and well defined white band. This is consistent with the video I posted earlier in this thread. My original one is very different. Rather thin white band, and it has subtle blue "webbing" throughout. Any significance?

I remember seeing in Michaels book pics of Heron Island Meredithis with no white band whatsoever. Maybe a collection locale?

Thanks! Though I get crap for most of my fish being black, yellow, white. :o

I love this species and if I was a rich man I would definately do a pair. Thanks for the pics, those fish are just stunning.

 No room here for that. Especially since I love pairing as many of my fish as I can!

I have the best reefing buddies!! I've been missing my tanks, while on vacation, so they took a Christmas Day video for me :D :D

Peter,

That's really a great looking pair especially they seem to get along. I love the open space in your tank and very nice to see the cleaner shrimp out in the open floor. Your FA move too fast for me to get a good look but appeared to be a female, is it correct?

Kevin

Thanks! The FA is unknown.... but it ripped apart a larger flame through the holes in an acclimation container, so I'd say close to, if not total, male.

Peter, I can still see rock and the back wall... when are you going to stock that tank up to your normal fish population level? You know... so we can't see anything BUT fish :p

 You're thinking of the reef :D

Update: Both meredithi angels are doing well. Occasional quick chase from the larger fish, but nothing major. They are ridiculously fat

MY only complaint is that the larger one seems to have actually lost any blue it had on the face (the camera flash still pics up some blue in the last pic). They both have very dark, almost black, faces now

The asfur pays no attention to them, and vice versa. A bit surprising, considering the similar color schemes.

I've 2 since 2008 (May '08 & Oct '08) and both were 3" at the time of purchase. The first one is now about 6" and the smaller one is about 4.25-4.5". For the past 3-4 weeks I noticed the larger one is no longer chasing the smaller one when they cross path. Hopefully they'll form a pair in the near future.

My 2 Blueline is very similiar in sizes as the Meredithi but the larger one is still chasing the smaller one on sight.
