CA Reactor feeding flow stops

Hi,

I am having the problem with the flow through CA reactor. I tried tree different pumps to feed the reactor including aqualifter and now MJ1200.

The problem is the initially the water flows nice and easy through the reactor, but it gradually slows down and eventually stops completely in few days.

I wonder do I need bigger pump to feed or maybe different tubing combinations - I use 1/4" tubes.

I also tried to feed of return manifold with same results. I use Dart for my return, but there is still not enough pressure I guess.

All ideas are welcome.

maybe co2 buildup inside the reactor? does water level drop inside the reactor?

is there a circulating pump built-in on the reactor? is that running? maybe its clogged with reactor media.

Some of us use a continuous duty peristaltic pump. It will eliminate this issue once and for all but does cost considerably more then the other options.

Could you point to good peristaltic pump? What I have seen so far in Marine Depot and such do not look like continues duty ones.

A peristaltic pump will solve your problems, with that said the problem your having now is not with the pump but with the effluent valve getting clogged

This happens on my reactor when I overtighten the fittings on any of the effluent or C02 lines.
