Calcium Reactor vs 2-Part in a 200g+ SPS tank

Oldude,

I dont think ive ever cleaned my dosing pump hoses. :)
Since I started mixing the alk at 1/2 strength I am cleaning them much less often now. I also use an airstone at the end of the hose in each holding tank to draw through so I don't get any sediment flowing through the hoses.

I have been using the hardness plus from Leslie for some time now, I have had no issues with it. I use Arm and Hammer for the other part, though.

I believe there is a sticky on the RC forum regarding the issues with Bromide in the new DOW flake (pretty much any commercial calcium is from DOW). This new formula from DOW is the main reason people have switch to more pure products from BRS and other vendors.
I also use Arm & Hammer (non-baked since I don't need to raise my PH) and still have a good 100 lbs of pre-bromide calcium left. I thought the bromide didn't seem to cause issues also it's been quite awhile since I've been on the chemistry forum. Have there been new findings I'm not aware of?

I know what the "top of the hour" means, but not sure what you mean by the "bottom of the hour." Would this look like:

12:00-12:05--Calcium

12:55-1:00--Alk

2:00-2:05--Calcium

...and so on? Thanks!
The bottom of the hour is the :30 mark.

My Calcium turns on at 12:00 and runs for 10 min, then takes a 3:50 min rest.

The Alkalinity turns on at 12:30 and runs for 10 min, then takes a 3:50 min rest.

This occurs 6 times throughout the 24hr day (timer repeats 5 times on the RKE)

Sorry if I wasnt clear.

^ Wouldn't that be 12 doses if you do every 2 hours for 24 hours?
Sorry, its 10 min every 4 hours. Not sure what I was thinking when I typed that last night :D

Happy New Year all!!
