Looks great. It also looks like you started with a really healthy specimen to begin with.

Congrats.

Thanks for saving one more anemone that gets to stay on the reef!

I fattend it up by feeding shrimp twice a week for a few months.I was hopeing that over feeding would entice him to split. No such luck.I did have to go with the Clarkii species to find a clown that will host. The tank raised ocellaris I have stay clear of them.

No dip used.Fresh saltwater adjusted to match the tank water.Salinity,PH and temp.Used as a 1 hr bath to remove as much gunk from the incisions. The BTA's started to grab ahold of the tank bottom with in minutes. Before the hour was up the cuts had closed up enough not to worry too much about infection.Had they not appeared to be recovering ,I would have used lugols solution as an antimicrobial bath.I was going to Q.T. them but thet reponded so well I put them back into the display to finish healing.
When Anthony performed this at our LMAS frag work shop he put them in bags and the two were left to heal in thier own bag water.

Question: how did you acclimate the two back into the tank?

I heard somewhere that drastic changes in salinity will shread an anemone's insides due to osmosis...

The bath water was matched for Temp,PH and Salinity.I placed them back in the tank on the bottom near caves.Did not see the need for a drip.IMO.... since they were holding on to the tank bottom and tentacles were extended they were fine.Everything I read tells of how resilient they are for survival purposes.
