Can this be really true

Serenity is so expensive
I have a tank Raised Black Clown
I have a LBTA
They have not gotten together yet. I know that it could take weeks, months, maybe never for them to hook up.

I was doing google searches on this topic and I came accross one that I am not sure if I believe it or not...

Someone said that they had the same issue and so they posted pictures of ClownFish in Amenone on the tank and then did all spot feedings near the Anemone. After a week or so the Clownfish discovered the anemone.

What do you think.. Is this a possibility or is it just a coinsidence

I've read quite a few times people seemingly having this work for them, I couldn't just chalk it up to coincidence, there may be something to it.

I've got a theory behind it, and it may sound crazy, but it may be true.

I think it has something to do with being stressed/scared. The sight of another clown, which is usually larger in the picture, makes them uncomfortable. My clowns started being hosted by my BTA when I moved. I moved the tank one day, and woke up the next to them being hosted. They were extremely stressed during the move and found the anemone at night.

I don't know that this is 100% true, but it may have something to do with it.

There's really now definite way of knowing. It could be just by chance or maybe some instinct kicks in once the picture is viewable. However, from what I have gathered, there is no concrete evidence that supports this theory. Could be just a coincidence.

Feel its a coincidence...maybe it was a tank bred clown and never knew what an anemone is...until it scraped by the anemone while catching some yummys

You stole my theroy...lol...JK,I agree with you,it has to do with stress alot of times and somtimes its just as simple as the clowns found the anemone.

I've seen posts by peeps that had clowns/nems in tanks for many months, and tried this, and had them hosting w/in days/week or so of doing so, so I don't dispute it being a possibility.
I do kinda side w/ the theories, or monkey see, or rushing to claim a territory after seeing a new intruder kinda thing.
Either way, not much needed investing in trying, print a pic and tape it on, pretty simple.

Well.. another nutty idea.

Slowly moving from a sps to a nem tank, I got two really badly bleached nems. One GBTA and one Magnifica. Decided to get two clowns and ....nothing!
So, I read about someone showing a video to the fish.
Youtube, clownfish, nems and 2 days later they were in there.

coincidence?

I had a GBM clown(tank raised) and the second I put my RBTA in the tank she wouldn't leave it alone. Never heard of the pic thing but it's worth a shot. IMO whats it going to hurt? Either you clown hosts or it doesn't.
