Carpet ID

I am looking for a ID on this carpet and a general how does it look. It has been at the lfs since tuesday and has settled into the limited rock work in the tank. While there isn't a shot of the mouth, I have seen it. It is about the size of a 50 cent piece in dieameter and lacks tentacles around it.

If I was to purchase it, it will stay at the lfs for two weeks yet, give or take. I am working out of town and home for the weekends right now.

Looks like a Haddoni to me. I would like to see the underside a bit closer. But with lack of banding on the under side it looks like a Haddoni.

Is that the true color or is that the tank?

What is the size?

I would say that color is real close. Phone camera may be off a bit, but not by much. As for the size, maybe 6-8 inches around like it sits. Maybe slightly more, I am a bad judgment on size. Bigger then a bowl, but smaller then a dinner plate if that helps any.

Sorry got busy at home dinner and such... Yes 100% Haddoni.

If you get it it will be a nice pickup.

If it is a reputable LFS then leave it with them.

Just ask them to QT it from their main system.

I agree 100% haddoni.
Sorry I was busy with the boys and all.

Pick it up and have the LFS QT it away from their main system.

Thanks guys. That is what I was hoping for. We shall see how it goes with then today then

One more question. The intended tank for the his anemone is a 120. What is the smallest tank you would recommend as a temporary further QT tank once I brought it home? I have options in this regard as well.

A haddoni will not walk the walls like others.
It likes its foot in the sand.

Get one that give it room to flow around.

Well as fate would have it, I did not get this carpet. Time ran out today. If it is still there come next weekend I may still get it, but as of now it isn't mine.

Thanks for the help in the ID. When one pops up again I will return to make sure of what it is.

OK better luck next time.

Gives you time to check out your tank.

How old is it?
What are the other inhabitants?
Type of lighting?
Cycle/length of lighting?
Dosing?
Sump?
Power Heads?
Temp?
SG?
pH?
nitrates?
nitrites?

Funny you mention that. As I mentioned I have options. 10, 20, 40 temperate, 100 not cycled, 125 pred tank. My first choice at the moment is the 20 as it is cycled and ready and has been. But I think it may be to small. 125 pred is also a viable option, but as a pred tank I battle nitrates considerably.

The plan in a this is a kinda center piece in the 120. It is currently under construction. Tank is in the wall, but the sump, overflow, plumbing all needs to be done. Then through a cycle with old/cleaned rock, though I could cycle the rock and rotate it around the systems and have some well established rock put in there as well.

Maybe it is best I didn't get it. However with the weather today I am home again, so I could still get out there.

Yeah you really need to have the tank up and running for a bit.

There is a lot of immeasurable 'off gassing' per'se that come off the rock that irritates things and is absorbed by nuisance algae.

Once a tank is cycled and stable it will be better for an anemone, as it will not want to walk as much, of course flow and other parameters are important too.
