Carpet Nem Questions

Baja,

could you explain that please. This is my first (well first to live) anemone I have had for these fish. They are used to living in my frogspawn. I have to learn all these new behaviors.

Sometimes they pick at waste or food particles around/in the anemones mouth. I some cases they actually are trying to swim inside the anemone and sometimes they are successful. If this occurs over a long time the clowns need to be removed as it is usually not good for the anemone.

How often do I need to feed the anemones? I read that the clowns actually take food and such to it themselves. Will the anemones eat krill?

I feed mine krill and silversides. I've also heard of squid.

I've been feeding in a couple times a day to get it to grow, but they don't need more than a couple times a week.

Dont worry this behavior should go away. Thats how my saddlebacks were at first. Sometimes they would swim in totally. I would walk up to the tank and they would dive right in, and disappear for a couple of seconds. My nem really didnt seem to care and the clowns eventually stopped. I use krill and silversides for my nems. Usually I feed twice a week.
