Carpet sting

The area is getting bigger today and the swell is getting bigger too :( Maybe i'm getting allergic reaction.

I was removing my red haddoni , it's getting too big for my tank and already ate 3 fishes. Must take it out to sell it. Just bought a pair Coco dwarf angel and it's very expensive , don't want the pair to be a meal for the nem.

I had these symptoms and I attributed it to the anemone stings. There was no way to prove it, but fortunately they went away in a couple of weeks.

Good to know and see if I get these symptoms. Next time I will be more careful when touching carpets. At least I know my carpet is very healthy , very sticky .
Just ordered a new haddoni 6", very rare neon pink.

Now, I would use 1% hydrocortisone cream on it twice a day until resolve. You may have dark coloration on your skin but this should resolve after a few months

I am lucky. When my hand tough my Carpets, the tentacles come off and stick to my hand but I only get mild tingling sensation. Wash the tentacles off and my skin is as good as new.

This happened to me several years ago. The rash/swelling lasted over a week. If I remember right I think I used neosporin cream with hydrocortisone.
The inside of your forearm is very sensitive and for whatever reason haddoni carpets seem to have a defensive sting that is stronger than their normal sting. Mine happened the same way. I was removing a large haddoni and was lifting it out of the tank.

I haven't had another reaction since then, but I try to keep anemones away from my wrist and forearms now.
