Ok, I'm looking at getting a carpet and having done some research I think I'm even more confused.

Can someone give me a breakdown of the various carpets and how they are with respect to care.

Atlantic carpet.... Should not be in the hobby. nasty creature.
Gigantea.... Large, beautiful carpet with longer tentacles than many other carpets. Very hard to get them through the acclimation process.
Mertensii... Holds the record of oral disk size. Not as colorful as other carpets. Very rarely imported.
Haddoni.... Comes in several colors. Relatively easy to care for. Very short tentacles. Will eat fish.

Thanks,
What about stichodactyl?
Saddle back?

Stichodactyla is the "family" name for the carpets, as in Stichodactyla Haddoni, Stichodactyla gigantea.

Saddle back is a common name for Haddoni.
