CDA 150 48”x24”x31”

Some parts of the silicone around the eurobrace have started to separate from the glass so it can’t be filled to the top anymore. It would likely burst if it was filled.
Drilled for an overflow and 2 3/4” return bulkheads. 3/4” low iron glass. Has some scratches but the glass itself is in otherwise good condition.
Can be resealed or used as a vivarium, terrarium, paludarium, etc.
Will have it cleaned out by this weekend.
Pick up in San Jose
$120 or open to trades (coral/fish)
150 48”Lx24”Hx31”W
Thanks!

Same thing happened to my CDA. 2 years old. Company is a real pc of work. Bought mine from Robert. Than realized bought from a 1 star company (CDA). Look them up on yelp.

Sorry to bomb your thread. Just want anyone with one of there tanks to realize what is most likely going to happen. If you're thinking of a new tank? Spend a little more and get a product that someone with a little pride made.

Scary stuff! I just heard about another CDA tank this week with a burst seam. I thought these were the same builders from Leemar? Why did quality nosedive when they split from Leemar?

This tank will make one heck of a nice terrarium! GLWS. I hope CDA made this right for you!

I bought the very first batch of CDA from Robert, too. CDA workmanship were bad, I seen some cooked overflow box, some glass panel were off, too. My is a little better but not that much. I need to inspect my tank. what do you recommend brand for replace this CDA. I don't like redsea either.

I think some of their employees did work for Leemar before they shut. They sent out a replacement but it took a few months to get it built and shipped. I put two ratchet clamps around the tank to try and put some inwards pressure on it. I dont know how well that worked but it didn't burst haha. I had to plumb it up again. Lost my black leopard in the move but all others seem to be doing well.

Reef Savvy make some of the best tanks from what I have seen. They usually have a long queue of orders so it will probably take a few months for them to get a tank out to you. Price is higher than most other options though.

I think this issue was most prevalent in tanks manufactured 2015-2016. They started adding "˜double reinforced' eurobracing after macna 2016.

Have a reef savy now. Its beautiful!! Tank me USA makes a nice product to. Good things are well worth the wait.

CDA dug themselves a very deep hole. Regardless of tanks peeling apart, they are just not right. From bubbles in the glass to full on taking advantage of the naive. You can Read all the great reviews they have on yelp.

Most of the bad reviews are fake. It's the same story written by different users. With that said I'd put the quality of my CDA tank below Red Sea with Elos being better than both.

Oh No this post got me worries, have a CDA tank sitting in the garage waiting to set up.
It does have 'double reinforced braced'

Anyone has any issues after this " ‘double reinforced’ eurobracing after macna 2016'"?

Tank Me USA didn't take new orders 6 months ago due to backlogs. (not sure now).

Can't speak on the double reinforced bracing since I have only had mine set up for ~2 weeks. There are minor imperfections in the silicone mostly along the outside of the seals.
Next tank I get definitely won't be from CDA.

Oh wow... I have a CDA rimless!

Sorry to derail this thread -- thanks for the insightful information.

How old is your rimless? They have a 5 year warranty if on their steel stand. I thought that was a decent warranty. Red Sea gives a 2 year warranty. Can't find elos warranty posted.
